Balochistan: 112 Forcibly Disappeared, 49 Killed in July 2025

In July 2025, 112 cases of enforced disappearance were reported. Of these, 89 individuals remain missing, 15 were released, and 8 were killed extrajudicially in custody. During the same period, 49 people were killed, including 44 men and 5 women. Most of these killings were attributed to Pakistani security forces.

 

Enforced Disappearances

During the month, a total of 112 cases of enforced disappearance were reported. Of these, 106 were first-time abductions, while 6 involved individuals who had previously been abducted. Among the disappeared were eight minors taken by state forces; one was killed in custody, one was later released, and five remain missing.

Modes of Abduction:

The majority of abductions, 77 cases, occurred during house raids. Twenty-seven individuals were picked up from the streets, shops, and offices under the pretext of detention. Six were abducted at checkpoints, while two were summoned to military camps and subsequently disappeared.

Perpetrators:

Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were implicated in 49 cases, while the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) was responsible for 32. Intelligence agencies carried out 25 abductions, and six cases were attributed to state-backed death squads. 

Profession of victims: 

Students accounted for 17 cases, shopkeepers 12, drivers 6, and laborers 4. Two cases each involve tailors, farmers, and government employees. Single cases were reported for a medical store worker, a police constable, a conductor, a trader, a district monitoring coordinator, a mechanic, a vice chairman union, a publisher, a livestock assistant, and an advocate.

Places of Abduction: 

Kech recorded the highest number of abductions with 34 cases, followed by Quetta with 16, Gwadar with 13, and Awaran with 11. Barkhan reported 7 cases, Karachi 6, and Panjgur 5. Dera Bugti had 4 cases, while Nushki and Taunsa reported 3 each. Two cases were recorded in Hub, and single cases were reported from Mastung, Kalat, Washuk, Khuzdar, Kharan, Chagai, Naseerabad, and Islamabad. 

 

Cases:

July 01: 

  • Talal, son of Umid Ali, was abducted by the FC personnel from his home in Ward No. 2, Pasni, Gwadar district.
  • Jasim, son of Yaqoob; Malik, son of Paiz Muhammad; and Faisal and Raziq, sons of Bijar, all residents of Khuda Bakhsh Chhat in Mand, Kech district, were abducted during a raid by forces. In total, five youths were taken; one was later released, while four remain missing.
  • Bashir, son of Sabzal, was detained by the FC from the Lanti Dan area of Pasni and shifted to an unknown location.
  • Syed Muhammad Shahu, who had earlier been detained and released by the forces, was once again abducted by FC in the Jiwani area of Gwadar.
  • Kahoor Khan, son of Bakshi, was abducted from his home in Kulanch, Gwadar district, by FC.

July 02:

  • Jumma Khan, son of Shair Khan and a shopkeeper, Iftakhar, son of Noor Ali and a student, and Muhammad, son of Khair Muhammad and a trader, all residents of Fazla Kach, Koh e Sulaiman, were abducted in Taunsa Sharif by CTD and Punjab Police.
  • Sufyan, son of Ghulam Rasool Sufi and a resident of Singanisar, Turbat, Kech, was detained by FC and shifted to an unknown location.

July 03: 

  • Muslim, son of Tariq, was abducted from his home in Malikabad, Tump, Kech, during a raid by FC.

July 04: 

  • Liaquat Mustafa, son of Gulam Mustafa and a driver, and Umar Atta, son of Atta, both residents of Mashkay, were abducted from their residence in Hub Chowki by FC and secret agencies. Both were later released on August 02.
  • Alqamha Gull, son of Gull Muhammad and a student from Zehri, Khuzdar, was abducted from Qasim Complex, Gulistan Johar, Karachi, by CTD and secret agencies.

5 July:

  • Parvez Muhammad Omar was abducted from his home in Gramkan, Panjgur, by state-backed death squads. His body bearing gunshot wounds and torture marks was recovered on July 11 in Shahu Kahan and shifted to Teaching Hospital Panjgur.
  • Muhammad Hussain, son of Jamal Khan and a farmer from Naseerabad, was abducted from his home by CTD.
  • Osama, a student, and Sadaqat, a shopkeeper, sons of Haji Ayub and residents of Gwadar, were abducted while at a shop and shifted to an unknown location by FC.
  • Sameer, son of Abdul Karim, was abducted from Panwan, Jiwani, Gwadar, by FC.
  • Muslim, son of Abdul Ghani, and Noroz, son of Taj Muhammad, residents of Mehi in Mashkay, Awaran, were abducted in Kalar, Awaran, by FC.
  • Adnan, son of Abdul Wahid and a resident of Kharan district, was abducted at the Taftan border while returning from Iran.

July 6:  

  • Babul Rehmat, son of Rehmat and a student from Ward No. 6, Gwadar, was abducted from the Seaview area by FC. He was later released on August 02.

July 07: 

  • Muhammad Hassan, son of Phullain and a resident of Gwarkop, Sarikallag, Kech, was abducted from his home in Gwarkop by FC.

July 08: 

  • Saeed, son of Obaidullah and a student of BS Defense and Strategic Studies at Quaid-e-Azam University, resident of Panjgur, was abducted from the Islamabad toll plaza by plainclothes personnel.

July 09: 

  • Ajman, a minor student and son of Aminullah from Gwadar, was abducted from Musa Mode by FC.

July 11:

  • Ashfaq Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmed and a student from Mashkay, was abducted in A One City, Phase 2, Quetta, by FC and CTD.

July 13: 

  • Ghulam Jan, son of Bijjar Baloch, was abducted from his home in Karkian Khad, Kolwah, by a death squad, and his bullet-riddled body was discovered hours later in Kuli. His family had earlier been displaced by FC from the Pahu mountain region.
  • Ayub, son of Wahid Bakhsh, Fazal, son of Fida, Saeed, son of Dad Muhammad, Zia-ul-Haq, son of Asadullah, and Abid Ali, son of Asadullah, were abducted from Mirabad, Tump, Kech district, during raids by FC. Several others were taken and released, while these five remain missing.
  • Muneer Ahmad, son of Deen Mohammad, was abducted during a midnight raid at his home in Gichk by FC. He had earlier been forcibly disappeared in November 2017 and detained for months.

July 14: 

  • Haider, son of Ali Muhammad, was abducted from his home in Mir Lal Baksh Ward, Gwadar, by FC.

July 15:

  • Rehan Asghar, son of Asghar Ali and a student from Shahrak, Kech, was abducted in Quetta by CTD.
  • Abdul Rehman Saylani, a laborer and resident of Rakhni, Barkhan, was abducted from his home by FC.
  • Raza Muhammad, son of Rahmat, was abducted from his home in Sami Bazar, Jhao, Awaran, by FC.

July 16: 

  • Ganj Bakhsh, son of Ibrahim and a Zamiyad driver from Arz Muhammad Bazar, Hoshap, Kech, was abducted in Jusak, Turbat, by MI and secret agencies.
  • Nadeem, son of Rasheed and a laborer from Gwarkop, was abducted from his home by FC.
  • Hameed Baloch, son of Afzal Chanal and a resident of Koto Jhao, was abducted by FC. His bullet-riddled body was recovered on July 21.

July 17: 

  • Zahid Ali, son of Abdul Hameed and a rickshaw driver from Kalri, Lyari, Karachi, was abducted in Lyari by intelligence personnel along with his rickshaw.
  • Waris, son of Haider and a laborer from Tagranabad, Kech, was abducted from his home by FC and MI.

July 18:

  • Murad Jan, son of Kenagi Dashti and a driver from Gebun, Kech, was abducted by CTD. He was the sole breadwinner of his family.

July 19:

  • Awaz Hassan, son of Hassan, was forcibly disappeared by FC in Arz Muhammad Bazar, Hoshap, during an operation. Residents were evicted, gathered at one location, and their phones confiscated.
  • Meshon Khan, son of Matha Khan Bugti, was abducted from Dera Bugti city by FC.
  • Saddam Hussain Kurd, son of Abdul Raheem and a resident of Killi Habeeb, Sariab, Quetta, who worked at Internet Broadband, was abducted from his home.

July 20: 

  • Shahzaib, son of Javed and a student from Kunshkalat, Tump, was abducted in Karachi by CTD.
  • Shoaib, son of Master Sharif and a resident of Zeelag, Jhao, was abducted in Panjgur
  • Hasil Baloch, 10, son of Dost Muhammad and a resident of Koto, Jahu, was forcibly disappeared after being summoned to a military camp by FC. Hasil is the cousin of Hameed Baloch, who was also abducted by FC in Koto on 16 July, and his bullet-riddled body was recovered on July 21. 
  • Naseer Ahmed, 17, son of Basheer Ahmed and a resident of Killi Station, Taftan, was abducted from his home by the Frontier Corps. He worked as a conductor.

July 21: 

  • Nazeer Ahmed, son of Bahram Baloch, was abducted from Nodowani, Awaran, and Noor Khan, son of Amir Bakhsh, was abducted from Jhal Jhao by FC. Both were killed the same evening.
  • Mazar Baloch was summoned by FC to Mashkay cantonment, and on his return, was killed in Khandri Mashkay. He had earlier disappeared in 2015 and was released in 2020. He remained under constant harassment and coercion.
  • Changaiz Sahir, son of Noor Muhammad and director of Ilm o Adab Publishers, resident of Nizarabad, Tump, was abducted from his office in Urdu Bazar, Karachi, by ISI and MI.
  • Mujeeb, son of Haji Khuda Baksh and a livestock assistant, was abducted from his home in Killi Behram Shahi, Mastung, by CTD and FC.
  • Saddam and Gulzar Naik Sal, both mechanics from Sari Shapuk, Kech, were detained near Turbat city by FC. Gulzar was released the same night, while Saddam remains missing.

July 22: 

  • Dil Jan, son of Khuda Bakhsh and a resident of Kochig, Buleda, was abducted from Minaz, Buleda, by a death squad. His body was recovered on August 2 in Solo Dam, Buleda. He had earlier been disappeared four years ago and released after four months.
  • Majid, son of Lal Baksh and a resident of Askani Bazar, Absar, Kech, was abducted from Shah Farm, Turbat, by a death squad. His brother Hatir Lal had earlier been abducted on June 3, 2025, and remains missing.
  • Abdost Jogi, son of Deen Mohammad, was abducted from his home in Balicha, Tump, during a raid by FC.

July 23: 

  • Qambar, 16, son of Noorjan and a shopkeeper from Sahib Khan Bazar, Buleda, was abducted from his shop in Jusak, Turbat, by intelligence personnel.
  • Wadera Pahari Bugti and Wadera Bashir Chandrazai Bugti, son of Wadera Sukiya Bugti, both tribal chiefs from Zainkoh, Dera Bugti, were abducted by CTD and ISI from Tehsil Bazar, Sui, Dera Bugti.

July 24:

  • Qambar Fida, a 15-year-old student and resident of Meerabad, Tump, was abducted from his home by FC.
  • Hakeem Ali, son of Fazal and an advocate from Washuk, was abducted from Killi Ibrahimzai, Brewery Road, Quetta, by CTD.

July 25: 

  • Muslim Dad, son of Sahab Dad and a philosophy student at Karachi University, was abducted near Maskan Gate, Karachi University, by the police and MI. He was released on August 02.
  • Shabeer Ahmed, 18, son of Abdul Salam and a driver from Jamalabad, Nushki, was abducted from his home by FC and MI, along with his friend Aman Ullah, 22, son of Khuda Raheem from Dalbandin. Both worked as drivers.

July 26: 

  • Muhammad Deen, son of Abdul Ghafar and a farmer, Naqeebullah, son of Daray Khan and a government servant, Faheemullah, son of Juma Khan and a tailor, Abdul Ghafar, son of Muhammad Deen and a laborer, Kabeer, son of Muhammad Deen and a shopkeeper, and Waqar Ahmed, son of Muhammad Deen and a marriage hall worker, all residents of Mongachar, were abducted from Killi Ismail, Quetta, by CTD.
  • Hafeez Ullah, son of Peer Muhammad and a tailor master from Qazi Abad, Nushki, was abducted from his home by CTD and intelligence personnel.

July 27: 

  • Nizam, son of Abdul Rahim, and Mehran, son of Sadiq and a shopkeeper, were abducted by FC from Mehran’s shop in Serinkin, Tump.
  • Adnan, son of Ghafoor, was abducted from Darchko, Dasht, by FC.

July 28: 

  • Salah Naseem, son of Naseem Baloch and resident of Phulabad, Tump, was abducted by security personnel while hunting between Konshkalat and Phulabad. His companion was released, but he remains missing.

July 29: 

  • Naseeb Jan, son of Misri Khan and a fine arts student at the University of Sargodha, was abducted from his home in Barkhan. 
  • Sajjad Noor, son of Noor Muhammad and a shopkeeper from Kallar, Mashkay, was abducted from Mashkay Bazar by FC.
  • Nazeer Ahmed, son of Sobat Khan and a student from Sadiqand, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Muhammad Asghar, son of Muhammad Waris and a shopkeeper from Kalat, were abducted from a football ground in Panjgur by intelligence personnel.
  • Kashif, son of Yaqoob and a shopkeeper from Kalri, Lyari, was abducted from Amma Tower, Saddar, Karachi, by intelligence personnel.
  • Shah Jahan, son of Murad and resident of Majurabad, Panjgur, was abducted from Chitkan Bazar, Panjgur, by a death squad. He was taken to an FC camp, and on August 4, his tortured body was found dumped.

July 30: 

  • Bebagr, son of Abdul Malik and a government servant from Naal, was abducted from Asad Noor Market, Naal, by MI. He was released the next day.
  • Feroz and Sagheer, sons of Dad Muhammad, Zarif, son of Amin, Fida, and Halal Bakhsh, were abducted during house raids in Nasirabad by FC.
  • Javed, son of Imam Dad and a student from Nichara, Kalat, was abducted near Aziz Abad Cross Zawa, Kalat, by MI.
  • Fida, son of Hakeem and a resident of Dasht Gwahrag Dap, Kech, was abducted from Padi Zer Public Park, Gwadar, by FC.

July 31:

  • Naseeb Jaan, 21, a student, and his elder brother, Attaullah Baloch, 26, a shopkeeper, were abducted by CTD from their home in Rakni.
  • Abdul Kareem, son of Mir Haji Hasil Khan and a shopkeeper from Muradabad, Nag, Washuk, was abducted from his home by the Intelligence agency. It was his second disappearance.
  • Ali Asghar Qambrani, son of Ghulam Ali and a laborer, Sherbaz Bangulzai, son of Haji Hamam and a student, Zia Ur Rehman Qambrani, son of Rashid Qambrani and a driver, and Fazal Ur Rehman Qambrani, son of Ibrahim Qambrani and a District Monitoring Coordinator, were abducted from their homes in Killi Qambrani, Quetta, by FC. All four had previously been abducted before.
  • Gul Mir, son of Ali Muhammad and a medical store worker from Rakhni, Barkhan, was abducted by FC and MI.
  • Mian Khan Gadiani, Vice Chairman of Union Council Kach Baghao and leader of National Party, along with his son Salal Khan and nephew Sattar Khan, were abducted from his home in Rakhni, during a CTD raid.
  • Muhammad, son of Rahmat, and Ibrahim, son of Hanif, were abducted from Jiwani, Gwadar, by FC.

Unreported Cases from Previous Month:

June 27:

  • Imran Khan, 26, son of Taj Muhammad and a student of IBLC at the University of Turbat, was abducted from Moledy Raik, Apsar, Turbat by FC and MI.
  • Paneri, son of Marzo Bugti and a resident of Pit Feeder, Sui, was detained by FC and shifted to an unknown location. 

 

Other Incidents 

Illegal Detention of Social Activist Gulzar Dost on Fabricated Charges:

  • On July 7, social activist Gulzar Dost was abducted from his home in Apsar, Turbat, around 12:30 AM by police personnel and masked men. He was produced in court the next day on fabricated speech-related charges and released on bail on August 2, 2025.

Police Crackdown on BYC Protest in Hub:

  • On July 5, 2025, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) held a protest rally in Hub against the murder of Zeeshan Zaheer. When police blocked their attempt to demonstrate outside the Lasbela Press Club, protesters moved to the main road, where police opened fire and detained several, including BYC activists, relatives of the disappeared, and Abdullah of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. Among those arrested were the sisters of Shabir and Salman, and two female activists. Police also seized detainees’ phones and denied them legal access. While the women were later released, BYC continues to demand Abdullah’s release from Gadani Jail.

Arrest and Forced Transfer of Dr. Shali and Her Associates:

  • On July 25, Dr. Shali, central organizer of the Women Forum, along with her associates, was arrested from the Sarbandan area of Gwadar on baseless charges and forcibly shifted to Turbat. Police claimed the women were involved in anti-state wall chalking and distributing pamphlets, whereas, in reality, they were organizing an awareness campaign.

BYC Leaders Placed on Extended Police Remand:

  • On July 18, BYC organizer Dr. Mahrang Baloch and six other BYC leaders were presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court. Judge Muhammad Ali Mobin, acting on the police’s request, granted a further 15-day remand, handing Mahrang and the others over to the police. 

Secret FIR Registered Against Sammi Deen: 

  • On July 27, a secret FIR was registered against Sammi Deen Baloch in Awaran without her knowledge. She was neither informed nor given due legal notice, yet she has been declared a fugitive, and arrest warrants have been issued against her across Balochistan. These warrants authorize her arrest at any time and place, particularly upon entering Balochistan.

Killings

In July, 49 killings were reported across the province, including 44 men and 5 women. The identities of 43 victims were confirmed, while 6 remain unidentified.

Modes of Killings:

Among the 49 individuals killed in July 2025, 15 deaths occurred in custody. Eleven bodies were discovered under unknown circumstances, eight were victims of targeted killings, and five were killed in alleged encounters. Additionally, four cases were reported as honor killings, three as fake encounters, and three due to indiscriminate firing.

Perpetrators:

Of the 49 killings in July 2025, 17 (35%) were attributed to Frontier Constabulary (FC) and 3 (6%) to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). An additional 6 cases (12%) were carried out by state-backed death squads. In total, state forces and affiliated actors were responsible for 26 killings, representing approximately 53% of all documented deaths. The remaining killings were attributed to unknown perpetrators (9 cases, 18%), Baloch Liberation Army (BLA, 6 cases, 12%), Baloch Liberation Front (BLF, 4 cases, 8%), and family members (4 cases, 8%).

Places of incident:

Awaran recorded the highest number of killings with 8 cases, followed by Kech (7) and Quetta (5). Four killings were reported from Nushki, and three each from Duki, Kachhi, Khuzdar, and Kalat. Two killings were documented in Qilah Abdullah, Mastung, Naseerabad, and Panjgur. Single cases were reported from Usta Muhamad, Barkhan, Kharan, Chagai, and Dera Bugti.

Fake Encounter:

  • July 9: The bodies of three men were recovered from the Yarushahar River. The victims, all residents of Safar Ali, Duki, were identified as Muhammad Ali, son of Hassan Ali; Younis, son of Muhammad Isa; and Wali, son of Amir Muhammad. All three had previously forcibly disappeared and were subsequently killed by the CTD in a staged encounter.

Custodial Killings:

  • July 9: Azmat Rind, son of Ameer Bakhsh Rind and a resident of Dera Murad Jamali, was forcibly disappeared on June 5 by the FC in front of several witnesses near Sabzi Mandi, Naseerabad. On July 9, the forces informed his family that he had died from injuries sustained in custody.
  • July 12: The body of Karim Jan, son of Azeem, who had been detained by Pakistani forces in Mashkay, was recovered on July 12. He had been tortured and killed while in custody. On February 22, 2025, he was summoned to the Lahki checkpoint in Mashkay, where he was taken into custody and subsequently disappeared. Sources revealed that he had previously been detained in 2023, during which he endured eight months of severe torture before being released. This time, however, he was not spared and became a victim of extrajudicial killing.
  • July 13: Ghulam Jan, son of Bijjar Baloch, was abducted from his home in Karkian Khad, Kolwah, Awaran, by state-backed death squads. Hours later, his bullet-riddled body was discovered in the Kuli area. He was originally from the Pahu mountain region, but his family was previously forcibly displaced by Pakistani forces.
  • July 21: On July 16, 2025, fifteen-year-old Hameed Baloch, son of Afzal Chanal and a resident of Koto Jahoo in Awaran district, was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces. His bullet-riddled body was recovered on July 21.

 

Indiscriminate Firing:

July 10: 

  • A mortar shell indiscriminately fired by the FC struck a football ground in the Gwarkop area of Kech, killing 15-year-old Ali, son of Ghulam Jan, and injuring six others. The shell hit while a group of young civilians had gathered in the field. Among the injured, Shahab, son of Dostil, remains in a coma at a hospital in Karachi, while Jameel, son of Dil Murad, is also hospitalized there with critical injuries. Other injured civilians include Naseer, son of Mehrab; Jamal, son of Hameed; Barkat, son of Iqbal; and Wazeer, son of Ghulam Ali.

July 18: 

  • A young student named Qambar, son of Aslam from Dandar Ashal in Kolwah, Kech, was killed by forces. Kambar, an eighth-grade student, was going to work in his onion fields when the forces opened fire, and he died instantly. His family said he had gone to the fields as usual that morning before they received the news of his death.
  • In the Nokundi area of Chagai district, FC opened fire on a Zamyad vehicle, killing its local driver, Shah Dur, son of Amanullah. 

Discovered Dead Bodies:

July 14: 

  • The bodies of two individuals kidnapped from Gulistan Bazaar in Qila Abdullah recovered from the Karez area. The victims, who were cousins, were reportedly tortured and killed after being abducted. Authorities believe the incident was the result of personal enmity. 

July 21: 

  • The body of a man was recovered from the Mandig River area of Mand and shifted to the Rural Health Center in Mand. He was identified as Abdul Qayyum, son of Abdul Hai, reportedly a resident of Nizwa Bazar, Balochabad.

July 26: 

  • Three people were found shot dead near the M-8 highway in Sur Gaz, Khuzdar. The victims were identified as Dr. Abdul Majeed Mengal, Attaur Rehman Mengal, and Mumtaz Mengal, residents of the Zaidi and Wadh areas. Their bodies were shifted to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital. The motive behind the killings has not yet been determined.

July 29: 

  • Following an attack on forces by militants near Mangchar Dam in the Kohak area of Kalat, the bodies of three previously disappeared persons were dumped at the site. Their faces had been disfigured with acid, rendering identification impossible.

July 31: 

  • Two children, aged 3 and 7, were found strangled to death in Killi Bangulzai, Quetta. The victims, identified as Bibi Mirab and Bibi Yusra, were discovered wrapped in sacks. Their bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital, where post-mortem reports confirmed suffocation as the cause of death. The motive behind the killings remains unknown.

 

Target Killings:

  • July 1
    Rasool Bakhsh Balwani, a resident of Khetran, Baghao, was detained in Barkhane and later killed. The BLA claimed he was a state informant.
  • July 2
    A 13-year-old madrassa student, Pazeer, son of Ali Dost, was shot dead by a state-backed death squad in the Surdu area of Panjgur while out to buy bread.
    The same day, unidentified gunmen killed Daulat, son of Char Shambe, in Hoshab, Kech district.
    In Bolan’s Mach area, the BLA apprehended Jamal Khan, son of Toor Gul, and Urzi, son of Sohrab Chagla Samalani. Both were killed in custody after allegedly confessing to working as paid informants for the Pakistani army.
  • July 7
    Unknown assailants opened fire on Haji Taj Shahwani on Qambrani Road in Quetta, killing him on the spot.
  • July 9
    Nek Jan Muhammad Hasni, son of Noor Muhammad, was shot dead by armed men in Waja Bagh, Jhao. The BLF claimed responsibility, alleging he was part of a state-backed death squad.
  • July 13
    Hammal Baloch, son of Wahid Bakhsh and a resident of Gomazi, Tump, was shot dead by armed men in the Jusak area of Turbat, Kech district.
  • July 17
    Mujahid, son of Khair Jan, was shot in the market of Kharan and later died of his injuries at Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
  • July 21
    The BLA claimed responsibility for killing three individuals — Muhammad Rahim, son of Haider; Shoaib, son of Abdul Majeed; and Salam, son of Ghulam Hussain — stating they were state informants. Rahim and Shoaib were killed in custody, while Salam was shot dead in Nasirabad.
  • July 22
    The BLA claimed responsibility for the custodial killing of two alleged state informants: Muhammad Nawaz, son of Sherdil Khan Sumalani, from Hazar Ganji, Quetta, and Faisal, son of Nazir Ahmed Shahwani, from Parangabad, Mastung.
  • July 28
    Three alleged state operatives were killed in separate attacks: Naveed Samalani near Darbar Hotel in Mach, Amir Das near Burma Hotel in Quetta, and Ghulam, who was detained during an operation in Hoshab. The BLA claimed responsibility for all three killings.

 

Honor Killings:

  • July 12
    In the Mangoli area near Dera Murad Jamali, a man strangled his wife to death in an apparent case of honor killing before fleeing the scene. 
  • July 16
    In Goth Ahmedabad, within Bagh Head police limits, Asia Bibi was shot dead by her maternal uncle, Abdul Ghaffar Khosa, who then escaped.
  • July 30
    A pregnant woman and her husband were shot dead near Lakpas, Mastung, in an honor killing. The couple — Muhammad Shoaib from Chitkan, Panjgur, and Benazir from Hazarganji, Quetta — had eloped and married seven years earlier. They were reportedly killed by the woman’s brothers, who lured them to a hotel in Quetta before opening fire.

Armed Clashes:

  • July 18 – Barkat Bugti, son of Hayat Bugti and a member of the Baloch Republican Army (BRA), was killed in an encounter with Pakistani forces in the Sui area of Dera Bugti.
  • July 20 – Four BLA members — Sufyan Kurd, Rashid Buzdar, Nabil Badini, and Khalid Farooqi Muhammad Hasni — were killed in an encounter with Pakistani forces in the mountainous area of Nushki.
