Balochistan: 123 Enforced Disappearances and 26 Killings Reported in August 2025

In August 2025, 123 cases of enforced disappearance were documented. Among them, 106 individuals remain missing, 12 were released, and 5 were killed extrajudicially while in custody. During the same period, 26 people were killed, the majority of them at the hands of state-backed death squads and security forces. The month also saw widespread internet and mobile shutdowns, along with the imposition of Section 144 across the province.

 Enforced Disappearances

During the month, a total of 123cases of enforced disappearance were reported. Of these, 118 were first-time abductions, while 5 involved individuals who had previously been abducted. Among the disappeared were thirteen minors taken by state forces; two was later released, and eleven remain missing.

 

Modes of Abduction:

Eighty-one cases were reported during house raids, while 36 people were taken from streets, shops, and offices under the pretext of detention. Three were taken away from checkpoints, and another three were summoned to military camps and then disappeared.

 Perpetrators:

The Frontier Corps (FC) was involved in 60 cases, intelligence agencies were linked to 33, and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out 28 abductions. Two cases were attributed to death squads.

Professions of Victims:

Fifty-seven victims had unidentified professions. Among those identified, students were the largest group with 25 cases, followed by drivers (6), laborers (5), shopkeepers (4), and farmers (4). Three victims were mechanics and three were leviesmen. Two cases each involved advocates, teachers, and bank employees. Single cases were reported for several professions, including professor, trader, doctor, shepherd, human rights activist, government employee, medical technician, barber, wagon cleaner, and a union council chairman.

 Places of Abduction:

Quetta recorded the highest number of abductions with 27 cases, followed closely by Kech with 25 and Dera Bugti with 15. Gwadar reported 9 cases, Awaran 8, and Karachi 7. Nushki and Panjgur each had 5 cases, while Dalbandin, Khuzdar, and Washuk reported 3 each. Chagai, Hub, Lasbela, and Kharan recorded 2 cases each. Single cases were reported from Punjab, Barkhan, Mastung, Kalat, and Harnai.

 

Cases:

  01 August

  • Mah Madli, son of Maskali, was abducted by the FC during a house raid near Lehri, Quetta, and taken to an unknown location. Valuables and a motorcycle were reportedly looted.
  • Nisar Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ishaq, 16, and a student from Chehatar, Dalbandin, was abducted from his home by FC and shifted to an undisclosed location.
  • Kamran, 20, and Badal Khan, 18, both garage mechanics from Killi Abdullah Abad, Brewery Road, Quetta, were abducted together by the CTD.

 02 August

  • Shonas, 27, a farmer from Pidrak, Kech, was abducted by FC and Intelligence near Gidamani Dann, Aap Band Chadai, after being stopped and questioned at the Pidrak Check Post.
  • Kamran Baloch, son of Haji Habib Ullah, 27, a farmer and landowner from Killi Sharif Khan, Nushki, was abducted from an agricultural field near Sharif Khan Road by FC.
  • Hafeez, son of Khawand Bakhsh Bugti from Bugti Colony, Sui, was abducted by FC and the CTD while sitting at Jumma Hotel.

 03 August

  • Aman Tahir, son of Tahir Hussain, 16, a 9th class student from Singanisar, Turbat, was forcibly disappeared in front of TMC Hospital, Turbat, by CTD and MI.
  • Mohsin Shahwani, son of Deen Muhammad Shahwani, was forcibly disappeared from his home in Killi Qambrani, Quetta, by FC.
  • Zahid, son of Karim Bakhsh, a resident of Kuros Tank, Dasht, district Kech, was forcibly disappeared from Paqeer Colony, Gwadar, by FC.
  • Hazara, son of Nozha Bugti, was forcibly disappeared by FC during a raid in Bugti Colony, Sui.

  04 August

  • Sanjar Sadiq, 27, a student from Tump, was forcibly disappeared from his home by FC and was later released.
  • Faraz Mayar, a student from Shahrak, Kech, was forcibly disappeared from his home by FC and Intelligence and was later released.
  • Dad Shah, son of Wahid Bakhsh, 32, a medical technician from Singabad Tijaban, Kech, was forcibly disappeared from Jusak Bazar, Kech, by CTD and MI and was released on 18 August.
  • Naik Saal, son of Asumi, was arbitrarily detained by FC in Tehsil Hoshap, Kech, after being summoned under the pretext of delivering clothes for his nephew, Awaz Hassan, who was forcibly disappeared on 19 July 2025 from Urz Muhammad Bazaar, Hoshap, and taken to a nearby military camp. Awaz remains missing.
  • Munir Ahmed Raisani, son of Haji Nehal Khan, was forcibly disappeared while traveling from Dalbandin to Mand-e-Haji, Mangocher, Tehsil Kalat, in the Padag area of Dalbandin. He had previously been forcibly disappeared on 23 June 2025 from Shah Noorani Hotel on RCD Road and was released on 5 July 2025.

 05 August

  • Mohammad Azeem, 20, an FSc student from Killi Khuasam, Mastung, was forcibly disappeared from his home by Military Intelligence.
  • Fazal, 39, a shopkeeper, along with Zaid, a minor, son of Zahid Ali, both from Gokdan, Kech, were forcibly disappeared by FC and Military Intelligence in front of his shop.
  • Abdul Majeed, 21, a bank employee from TTC Colony, Gwadar, was forcibly disappeared near DC House, by Military Intelligence, and was released the next day.

 06 August

  • Amjad and Rashid, sons of Deen Muhammad, along with Waleed, son of Nazar, all from Tump, were taken into custody by FC and were forcibly disappeared after a government-backed local armed group attacked a house, and a clash took place. During the clash, Jabbar, brother of Amjad and Rashid, was killed.
  • Raz Muhammad Marri, son of Shah Mir Marri, a resident of the Jaldi area of Bolan, Kachhi, was forcibly disappeared in Harnai district by FC.

 07 August

  • Jalal, 18, a student from Dannuk, Turbat, was forcibly disappeared by FC.
  • Muzafar Hussain, 25, son of Dr. Mohammad Jan, a student from Killi Atak, Kharan, was forcibly disappeared by FC in Nushki.

 08 August

  • Naveed Baloch, 23, was forcibly disappeared by FC and Military Intelligence from his home in Killi Khuda Raheem, Dalbandin.
  • Khalil Ahmed, 19, was forcibly disappeared by FC and Military Intelligence from his home in Killi Dawood Abad, Dalbandin.
  • Sajjad, also known as Jada Bugti, was forcibly disappeared by FC near the RD-238 bridge in Sui.
  • Sohbat, son of Wazir Muhammad Bugti, was forcibly disappeared from the Shahzain petrol pump area in Sui, Dera Bugti, while Mir Hussain Bugti and Gulab Bugti, sons of Sharbat Bugti, were forcibly disappeared from their home in Rehman Colony by FC and CTD.

 09 August

  • Ali Raza, Levies Dafedar, son of Younus Bugti, was forcibly disappeared by FC and CTD from the main bazaar of Dera Bugti.

 10 August

  • Sana Ullah Baloch, 26, a shopkeeper and member of NDP from Dosadka, Barkhan, was forcibly disappeared by FIA and MI from Multan International Airport. His home had been raided by security forces in July 2025.
  • Liaqat Baloch, son of Saki Dad, a resident of Shapkol and living in Kolwai Bazaar, Apsar, was forcibly disappeared by FC from an auto mechanic shop. On 11 August 2025, his mutilated body was found in Jusak, Turbat. He had previously been forcibly disappeared on 2 January 2023 and was released after severe torture. Persistent harassment by state-backed death squads had forced his family to flee Kolwah for Apsar, but persecution continued.

 11 August

  • Hassan Jan, father of Awaz, was forcibly disappeared by a Local death squad. On 15 August, his tortured and mutilated body was recovered from Panjgur. Earlier, on 19 July 2025, his son Awaz had been forcibly disappeared by FC from Urz Muhammad Bazar, Hoshap.
  • Nawaz Baloch, son of Lal Bakhsh, a resident of Bazdad, Awaran, was summoned to the central military camp, unlawfully detained, and tortured for three days. On 14 August, his bullet-riddled body was found in the Rekan area of Awaran and buried the same day in his native village.
  • Mochi, son of Mir Muhammad Bugti, was abducted by the Pakistan Army in Sui city after being summoned under the pretext of securing the release of his son Gazo Bugti, who had been abducted by FC two weeks earlier from the same city.
  • Gola, son of Aslam, was forcibly disappeared by FC in Dera Bugti.

 12 August

  • Usman Qazi, 35, an assistant professor, and Jibran Ahmed, 24, an M.Phil student, both from Nasirabad, Kech, were forcibly disappeared by CTD from Afnan Town, Quetta. On 18 August, Sarfraz Bugti showcased the forced confession of Usman Qazi during a press conference.
  • Pazeer, 20, a driver from Gilli Buelda, was forcibly disappeared by MI from Jewani.
  • Rehmatullah, son of Abdul Karim Badani, a resident of Zehri, was forcibly disappeared by FC from Waheed Shah Chowk, Khuzdar, while visiting relatives. His family reported that local police refused to register an FIR.

 13 August

  • Meer Khan, 29, an advocate from Village Sanwal Khan Lehri, and Muhammad Yaqoob, 29, a student from Bhaag Naari, were forcibly disappeared by CTD from Killi Lore Karez, Saryab Road, Quetta.
  • Nadeem, 21, a driver from the Gilli area of Buleda, Kech, was forcibly disappeared by FC from a check post in Zamuran.
  • Bismillah Baloch, 30, a school teacher and president of the Lore Karez Public Library, was taken away by CTD from Sariyab, Quetta.
  • Yaqub Bangzai, son of Mullah Mahmood Bangzai; Mama Deen Muhammad, 75, son of Khan Muhammad, and his eldest son Khan Muhammad, a government employee; Yousuf Kurd, son of Haider Kurd; Owais Kurd, son of Halim; and Shakur, son of Halim Kurd, were forcibly disappeared by FC.

 14 August

  • Abubakar, 25, a driver from Qazi Abad, Nushki, was abducted by FC from Ahmad Wal, Nushki.
  • Dildar, 24, and Talal, 22, drivers from Koshok Buleda, were taken away by intelligence personnel from a cricket ground in Buleda.

 16 August

  • Saeed Hameed, a student from Umari Kahn Sami, Kech, was abducted by the Pakistani intelligence agency from his home.
  • Rehman, son of Ramin Bugti, was taken into custody by CTD in Dera Bugti after being subjected to severe torture and has since been forcibly disappeared.
  • Shahzad, son of Murad Bugti, a Levies official, was abducted by intelligence personnel and CTD in Dera Bugti.
  • Dr. Shah Nawaz, son of Maroof Bugti, was taken from his clinic in Dera Bugti, while Shahzad, son of Murad Bugti, and Gull Muhammad, son of Shah Dost Bugti, were abducted from their homes during raids.
  • Jasim, 15, a student, and Qahim Ali, 24, a student, both from Wadh, Kharan, were taken away by CTD from their homes.

 17 August

  • Mir Yousuf Qalandrani, 29, Chairman of the Tootak Union Council and resident of Sardari Shahar Tootak, Baghbana, Khuzdar, was abducted in Karachi by the Pakistani Intelligence Agency.
  • Salman Baloch, 17, son of Dr. Isa and resident of Panjgur, was taken away by FC from the Nawan Killi area of Quetta.

 18 August

  • Sadiq, Farid, Aamir, and another unidentified youth, all from Basima tehsil, Washuk district, were detained by FC and remain missing.

 19 August

  • Zubair, 34, a JVT teacher; Sabir, 30, a Levies Sepoy; and Salman, 17, a student, all from Paroom, Panjgur, were abducted by MI from Al Mehraj Hotel, Lyari, Karachi. This is the second disappearance of Sabir.

 20 August

  • Kamalan Baloch, 28, a barber from Gwarkop, Kech, was abducted by FC and MI from Turbat.
  • Kachkol Baloch, son of Mayar Ahmed, was taken into custody by FC in Machi Malar, Awaran, and then forcibly disappeared. His brother, Suwali, also known as Soul Jan, had previously been abducted from their home on 18 July 2015 and remains missing.
  • Zameer Ahmed Shahwani, son of former judge Justice (retd) Zahoor Ahmed Shahwani, a State Counsel and lawyer, was forcibly detained during a raid in Quetta and taken to an unknown location, but was released after several hours.

 21 August

  • Fawad Ahmed, a student from Juzzan, Kharan, was abducted by CTD from Civil Hospital, Quetta.
  • Tariq Baloch, son of Dostain, a driver, was forcibly disappeared during a raid in Balgater, Kech.
  • Ajmal Baloch, son of Yaseen Baloch, a resident of Nasirabad, Kech, was forcibly disappeared in Gwadar.

 23 August

  • Sadiq Murad, 26, a student from Siddique Village, Malir Kala Board, was abducted by CTD and MI.
  • Muhammad Bilal, 24, a mosque imam from Killi Faqiran, Nushki, was taken away by intelligence personnel.

24 August

  • Usman Maqbool, a resident of Pidrak, Kech, was abducted by FC. His mutilated body was discovered on 26 August in Banuk-e-Chadai, Turbat. He had previously been abducted on 4 September 2019 and released on 8 May 2021 after nearly two years in custody; his first disappearance case had been filed with the UN Working Group on Enforced Disappearances.
  • Siraj, son of Pir Muhammad; Waseem, son of Lal Muhammad; Waheed, son of Murad; and two unidentified persons, all from Kuldan and Gabd, Gwadar, were abducted by FC during a raid. They were reportedly tortured before being taken away.
  • Nazeer Baloch, son of Syed Muhammad Panjagi, a laborer originally from Reksar Machi Nigwar and residing in Kuldan Dasht, Gwadar, was abducted by FC.
  • Dad Kareem, son of Mullah Bakhsh, and Shoaib Ahmed, son of Wahid Bakhsh, residents of the same family from Gebun, Kech, were abducted by the Intelligence Agencies in Malir, Karachi.

 25 August

  •  Two brothers, Anees and Changez, sons of Malik Abrar, along with Balach Baloch and Faraz Baloch, all from Gramkhan, Panjgur, were abducted by FC.
  • Sher Jan, son of Muhammad Karim, a driver from Malar, Awaran, was forcibly disappeared by FC from Shahabad, Askani Turbat.

 26 August

  • Mukhtiar Ahmed, son of Ashraf; Sabir Baloch, son of Ashraf; and Jalil Ahmed, son of Murad Baloch, all from Kuch, Mashkay, Awaran, were abducted by FC.

 27 August

  • Nazar Marri, 30, a human rights defender and Baloch Yakjehti Committee member, was abducted by CTD and ISI from Bilal Cafe, Golimaar Chowk, Quetta.
  • Inayat Ullah, a shopkeeper from Norgama Zehri, was abducted by CTD from Gas Colony Customs, Saryab, Quetta.
  • Imran Aslam, 20, a student from Zamuran, Kech, was abducted by CTD from A One City, Quetta.
  • Siraj Ahmed, 22, a wagon driver, and Imran, 17, a wagon cleaner, both from Zehri Norgama, were abducted by FC and MI from Peer Umer, Khuzdar.
  • Liaquat Baloch, son of Ghulam Rasool Baloch, a resident of Niwano, Zamuran, was forcibly disappeared by FC in the Zamuran area, Kech.
  • Shah Bakhsh, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Dasht Mullai, Nigwar, Zarin Bugh, Kech, was forcibly disappeared by FC from Qandil Chowk, Gwadar.
  • Saqib Ahmed, son of Ahmed Khan Buzdar, a banker from Wahdat Colony, Quetta, was forcibly disappeared by FC after being detained on Jinnah Road near Kabeer Building.

 28 August

  • Muhammad Yaseen, 17, Shabiq, 18, both from Shapuk, Kech; Qadeer Ahmed, 18; Akram Taqseer, 16, a matric student; and Qadeer Lalla, 17, an FSc student, both from Umari Kahn Sami, Kech, were abducted by CTD and ISI from Essa Ngri, Quetta.
  • Waqar Ahmed, 23, a labourer from Killi M Hassani, Nushki, was abducted by FC and MI from his home.
  • Aslam, son of Elaho Bugti, was forcibly disappeared by CTD and ISI during a raid in Dera Bugti.
  • Miran Baloch, son of Ibrahim, was forcibly disappeared by FC from his home in Gazzi, Tehsil Jahoo, Awaran, shortly after returning from the UAE.

 29 August

  • Mehrab, son of Manzoor, was abducted by a state-backed death squad group from Chitkan Qalam Chowk, Panjgur.

 30 August

  • Hafeez, son of Imam Bakhsh, a shopkeeper, and Saleem, son of Muhammad, a farmer, both from Tank Mashkay, were abducted by FC.

 31 August

  • Shah Nawaz, son of Hatim Baloch, a resident of Tobo Kad Jhao, Awaran, was forcibly disappeared by FC while returning from the hospital near Hub Chowki.
  • Inayat Baloch, son of Basham, a laborer from Dandar Madag, Kalat, was abducted by FC from his house in Bhawani, Hub Chowki.

 Unreported Cases from the Previous Month:

  •  25 May: Rehmat Khan, 38, a farmer from Barkhan, son of Wazeer Khan, was abducted by FC and MI in Rakni.
  • 10 July:   Dost Ali Baloch, 17, and Shahzaib Baloch, 19, both students from Uthal, Lasbela, were abducted by CTD and MI from Winder City.
  • 20 July:  Basheer Ahmed, 50, a border trader, and Nasir Khan, 16, a worker and his son, from Killi Station, Taftan, Chaghi, were abducted by FC from their home.
  • 26 July: Sabir Basham, 20, a shepherd from Kolowah Bedrang, Kech, son of Basham Baloch, was abducted by FC in the Maadag-E-Door area of Kolowah. 
  • 30 July:  Jafar, son of Ijaz, a resident of Hotabad, Kech, was taken into custody by FC from Khairabad, Kech, and has been forcibly disappeared.

 

Other Incidents

  • The remand of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders was extended twice by the court in August, prolonging detention. During this period, BYC leaders, including Mahrang Baloch and four others, were held in custody.
  • On August 1, the Balochistan government imposed Section 144 across the province for 15 days, prohibiting assemblies of four or more people, gatherings, processions, rallies, public meetings, and the display of weapons. Legal action was mandated for violations.
  • Mobile internet services were suspended across Balochistan by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) over security concerns, disrupting access for millions, including students and online businesses.
  •  On 11 August, two women, Sahiba Khatun and Shahida, residents of Balochi Bazaar, Apsar, Turbat, were injured when unidentified men hurled a hand grenade at the house of Khuda Dad. They were treated at the District Headquarters Hospital, Turbat.
  •  On 12 August, a woman, Zuleikha, wife of Isa, and a child were seriously injured when FC opened fire on a house in the Kalahu area, Tump. The child sustained a bullet injury to the hand.
  • Sughra Bibi, a resident of Khuzdar, reported being kidnapped, tortured, and raped by her influential person, Osama Khadrani, who allegedly abducted her in a Fortuner car while she was on her way to a tailor’s shop with her younger sister. She demanded justice at the Khuzdar Press Club.
  • Arifa Shah, the mother of Ehsan Shah, who was killed in Mastung’s Ghanja Dori in June, was arrested by Quetta police while protesting outside the Quetta Press Club. She and her young daughter were harassed and threatened to stop the demonstration demanding justice for her son.

 

Killings

In August, 26 killings were reported across the province, including  24 men and  2 women. The identities of 17 victims were confirmed, while 9 remain unidentified.

Modes of Killings:

Most incidents were the result of targeted attacks, with 9 cases reported. Five bodies were recovered, and 4 individuals were killed while in custody. Another 4 cases were linked to honor-related killings. In addition, 2 deaths occurred during encounters, while 1 person was killed in mortar shelling and 1 in indiscriminate firing.

Perpetrators:

The majority of cases were attributed to unknown assailants, accounting for 9 incidents. Death squads were linked to 6 cases, and the Frontier Corps to 5. The Baloch Liberation Army was responsible for 4 cases, while intelligence agencies were implicated in 2.

 Places of incidents:

Kech recorded the highest number of incidents, with 10 cases, followed by Panjgur and Washuk, each with 4 cases. Kachhi, Khuzdar, and Naseerabad reported 2 cases each, while Awaran and Kharan had 1 case each. 

 

Custodial Killings

 2 August

  • Dil Jan, son of Khuda Bakhsh, a resident of Kochig, Buleda, was forcibly disappeared from Minaz, Buleda, while repairing his motorcycle on 22 July 2025. His body was recovered on 2 August in Salu Kurdim, Buleda. He was allegedly abducted by a state-backed death squad group. He had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance four years ago and released after four months.

 3 August

  • Inayat Khair Mohammad, a resident of Parom, Panjgur, was forcibly disappeared on 1 December 2024 by a death squad, and his mutilated body was recovered on 3 August.

 4 August

  •     Shah Jan, son of Murad, was abducted on 29 July by state-backed death squads in Panjgur, weeks after his marriage. His body was recovered on 4 August. He was abducted after a car rammed his motorbike and dragged him into a vehicle that entered an FC camp. The police refused to register the family’s complaint despite his last call naming the perpetrators.

 5 August

  •   Omar, a resident of Gwargo, was abducted by death squads from his hometown on 31 July 2025. His bullet-riddled body was recovered on 5 August from the Old Prom Cross area, Panjgur. Multiple gunshot wounds were confirmed, and the body was taken to a local hospital for further investigation. 

 11 August:

  • On 10 August 2025, Liaqat Baloch, son of Saki Dad, a resident of Shapkol and living in Kolwai Bazaar, Apsar, was forcibly disappeared by FC from an auto mechanic shop. On 11 August 2025, his mutilated body was found in Jusak, Turbat. He had previously been forcibly disappeared on 2 January 2023 and was released after severe torture.  15 August:

  • On 11 August 2025, Hassan Jan, father of Awaz, was forcibly disappeared by a Local death squad. On 15 August, his tortured and mutilated body was recovered from Panjgur. Earlier, on 19 July 2025, his son Awaz had been forcibly disappeared by FC from Urz Muhammad Bazar, Hoshap.

 26 August

  • On 24 August 2025, Usman Maqbool, a resident of Pidrak, Kech, was abducted by FC. His mutilated body was discovered on 26 August in Banuk-e-Chadai, Turbat. He had previously been abducted on 4 September 2019 and released on 8 May 2021 after nearly two years in custody; his first disappearance case had been filed with the UN Working Group on Enforced Disappearances.

 

 Indiscriminate Firing

 11 August

  •  Mahmood, 10, son of Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Gomazi, Kech, was killed when FC fired mortar shells into residential areas following an attack on a security post at the house of Captain Jahangir in Gomazi, Tump. Several others were injured.

 20 August

  •  Bohair, son of Diljan, a youth from Buleda, Kech, was shot and killed by FC while returning home from his fields in the Gali area. His body was left at the scene.

 

Discovered Dead Bodies

 13 August

  •  The body of an unidentified man was recovered from Buleda Gardank, Kech, reportedly shot at close range. Levies officials collected evidence and initiated an investigation.

 24 August

  • Four unidentified bodies bearing multiple gunshot wounds were found in a deserted area of Besima, Washuk. Police reported that residents alerted authorities, and the bodies were taken to the district hospital. Doctors confirmed bullet injuries as the cause of death.

 

Target Killings

 4 August

  •  Nizar Muhammad, son of Salam Jan Siapad, a resident of Wadh, Kharan, was shot and killed by local death squads.

 15 August

  •  Hatim Dilpul, 22, son of Dilpul Baloch, a resident of Tejaban, Kech, was shot dead by death squads while carrying groceries to his elderly grandparents in the mountains of Tejaban.

 19 August

  • Ghulam Sarwar, his sons Islam and Nizam from Gichk, Surdu, Habibullah from Grisha, Khuzdar, and Ali Ahmed from Quetta were killed in an attack on a house in Surdu, Panjgur by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which claimed responsibility, stating the victims were agents of Pakistani forces involved in the abductions and killings of Baloch people.

 21 August

  •  Akmal, son of Saleh, a resident of Konshkalat, Tump, was shot dead by local death squads.

 22 August

  • Iqbal, son of Hakeem, a Karachi University student, and Naeem, son of Shay Muhammad, both residents of Grisha, Khuzdar, were extrajudicially killed by death squads. Naeem had previously been forcibly disappeared along with his father and brother in 2020 and was later released.

 

Honor Killings

 21 August

  •  A man and a woman were shot dead in Khan Kot, under the jurisdiction of the Tambo Police Station, Dera Murad Jamali.

 26 August

  •  Two people, including a woman, were shot dead in the Bhag area of Bolan. Police moved the bodies to the hospital and later handed them over to their families after completing legal formalities.

 

Armed Clashes

 6 August

  • Jabbar, son of Deen Muhammad, a BLF member from Tump, was killed during a clash between a government-backed local armed group and forces. His two brothers, Amjad and Rashid, along with Waleed, son of Nazar, were taken into custody by FC and subsequently subjected to enforced disappearance.

 22 August

  • Zahid Saleh, a BLA member, was killed during a clash with forces in the Tilukan area, Tump.
