Baloch Human Rights Organizations has issued its monthly report of the incidents of human rights violations in Balochistan in media and said that in the month of September 45 people were killed whereas 116 people were forcefully disappeared, abducted by security forces. 26 people were also released in the month of September.

During the military operations, 27 people got injured and many houses were demolished, added BHRO. Among the killed people, 11 people were targeted and killed by forces whereas 16 mutilated bodies were recovered. Majority of them were already in the custody of security forces. 14 people were killed in enmity and other unknown reasons.

Apart from these, 4 mutilated beyond recognition bodies were also recovered. 2 of them were recovered from Panjgur, Balochistan. The bodies were totally decomposed and were beyond recognition. Political parties of Balochistan have showed their concerns that these bodies might be bodies of Baloch enforced disappeared persons because the bodies of enforced disappeared persons are being recovered from Balochistan time to time.

On September 20, Humraz s/o Ishaq was abducted by forces from Siyah Gazzi, Awaran. The next day his bullet riddled body was found. Other than this, on September 20, during a military operation, forces abducted many people from Dandar, Kolwah in which Sabzal s/o Sardo’s mutilated body was recovered on September 29, 2017. Such incidents are continuously taking place for last many years and have left their negative impacts on whole society.

The Representative of Baloch Human Rights Organization said that the operations of forces in Balochistan couldn’t draw media’s attention towards itself nor the human rights activists of Pakistan are raising their voices against these human rights violations. The people of Balochistan are worried about continuous military operations and means of education for students and financial means of people are getting limited and decreasing day by day. The local militias, backed by forces are looting the live stocks of local people.

The representative further added that forces’ policy of abducting innocent people and detaining them illegally to unknown locations is serious human rights violation. The abductees are not allowed to meet their family members nor are they trailed and provided their right to hire a lawyer and defend themselves.Civil Administration is also helpless in front of forces.

If the federal government and provincial government of Balochistan remain silent on these serious issues, than it is undeniable fact that forces will continue abduction and extra judicial execution of innocent people of Balochistan.

Human Rights Council of Balochistan (Hakkpaan) is a non-profit and non-partisan human rights group based in Balochistan and Sweden. It collects reports from Balochistan, a region Pakistan government does not allow any media and HR group to visit and report. Human rights violations in Balochistan is not a new phenomenon, but it got its worst levels after the Military coup de tat of Pakistan in 1999. Thousands of Baloch have been reported missing, hundreds killed in fake encounters and so-called kill and dump policy of the military. HRCB collects the data from Balochistan itself, through its network of volunteers and supporters, organizes and reports them to the human rights mechanisms of the world.
