Balochistan: Four more killed in Fake Encounter

Balochistan, 03 November, 2016:

Pakistan security forces handed over 4 dead bodies to District Head Quarter (DHQ) Hospital Gwadar on 02 November, 2016. Later they issued a press release on media stating that army and frontier corps (FC) carried out a joint operation in Belar, Kulanch, District Gwadar in which 4 militants were killed and one was arrested.img-20161103-wa0084

On the same day security forces abducted 2 people from Pasni namely Dilbar s/o DilPul and Attaullah. Both are residents of Baber Shor Pasni, District Gwadar.

The dead bodies were identified through national identity card (NIC), student card and chits with their names placed in their shirt pockets. All of them including a 14 year old boy; were already missing for months and years.

14 years old Zafar s/o Abdul Rehman

Zafar Baloch s/o Abdul Rehman, 14 years old student was one of the victims. He was a resident of Jan Mohammad Bazar Dasht, district Kech. His parents have migrated to Gwadar for their children’s education. Zafar was identified through his student card in his pocket. He had been reported missing on August 13, 2016.

The second victim was Salahuddin s/o Abul Samad who had been missing from last 19 months when security forces abducted him on 25 March, 2015 from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. He was a resident of Mashkay, district Awaran.  A chit with his name on it was placed in his pocket through which he was identified.

Sajid Ali s/o Karim Bakhsh, resident of ward no. 4 Pasni, district Gwadar was abducted by security forces from his home during a raid on 31 January, 2013.

Sabir s/o Mohammad

Sabir s/o Mohammad was the fourth one whose bullet riddled body was brought to DHQ hospital Gwadar by security forces and was claimed to be a militant. Sabir was abducted from his home in Ambi Kulanch, district Gwadar in an operation by Pakistani forces. He was missing since August 4, 2014.

No information was provided about the arrested one.

8 missing persons were killed in fake encounters in the month of August only.

In the month of October, 2016, BHRO received reports of more than 120 enforced disappearances while 57 people were reported killed in different incidents by Pakistani security forces throughout Balochistan.

Baloch Human Rights Organization (BHRO) has kept reporting about human rights abuses in Balochistan and involvement of security forces in human rights violations repeatedly. It has also appealed to the world’s human rights organizations to take notice of the worsening situation in Balochistan.

 

 

 

 

Human Rights Council of Balochistan (Hakkpaan) is a non-profit and non-partisan human rights group based in Balochistan and Sweden. It collects reports from Balochistan, a region Pakistan government does not allow any media and HR group to visit and report. Human rights violations in Balochistan is not a new phenomenon, but it got its worst levels after the Military coup de tat of Pakistan in 1999. Thousands of Baloch have been reported missing, hundreds killed in fake encounters and so-called kill and dump policy of the military.
