Five Forcibly Disappeared Baloch Civilians Extrajudicially Killed by Pakistani Forces in Balochistan

The Human Rights Council of Balochistan strongly condemns the extrajudicial execution of five Baloch civilians who had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces. These killings, carried out in two separate incidents on June 11, 2025, represent yet another grim episode in the systematic campaign of violence and repression against the Baloch people.

In the first incident, Ali Muhammad and Nizar were killed inside a military cantonment in Mashkay. Their bodies were later shifted to the local hospital. Ali Muhammad, son of Hakeem, had been abducted multiple times in the past, including in 2016 and 2018, and was most recently taken from his home by members of a state-backed death squad. Nizar, son of Jan Muhammad, was forcibly disappeared on December 23, 2024. His brother, Gul Muhammad, also remains missing after being summoned to a military camp in Kandani on February 15, 2025.

Later the same day, three more bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from Pyara Colony, Sui, in Dera Bugti district. The victims—Ali Baig (abducted on March 19, 2025) including his brother, Jamal s/o Pahi Bugti, Yousaf alias Wado, and Zahid (both abducted on October 18, 2024)—were all taken by Pakistani forces prior to their deaths.

These acts constitute blatant violations of international human rights law, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), and directly contravene Articles 9 and 10 of Pakistan’s Constitution, which guarantee the right to life, liberty, and due process. Despite these legal protections, the Pakistani state continues to operate with total impunity, abducting and executing civilians in clear defiance of its obligations.

The Human Rights Council of Balochistan reiterates its demand for an independent international investigation into the systematic practice of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan. We urge all international human rights bodies to take urgent notice of these crimes committed by the state of Pakistan in Balochistan.

HRCB

Human Rights Council of Balochistan (Hakkpaan) is a non-profit and non-partisan human rights group based in Balochistan and Sweden. It collects reports from Balochistan, a region Pakistan government does not allow any media and HR group to visit and report. Human rights violations in Balochistan is not a new phenomenon, but it got its worst levels after the Military coup de tat of Pakistan in 1999. Thousands of Baloch have been reported missing, hundreds killed in fake encounters and so-called kill and dump policy of the military. HRCB collects the data from Balochistan itself, through its network of volunteers and supporters, organizes and reports them to the human rights mechanisms of the world.
