Baloch Human Rights Organization’s 2-day awareness campaign in Germany came to end today. During the campaign, thousands of pamphlets were distributed against the enforced disappearances of Nawaz Atta and other students, abducted by security forces from Karachi. In the pamphlets, the details of abductees were written and appeal to the people of the civilized world to raise their voices against the enforced disappearances in Balochistan. The Baloch people residing in Germany, political activists and human rights activists of local organizations participated in the awareness campaign in
Berlin, Germany.
The spokesperson of BHRO, on ending of the campaign, in a press release said that the incidents of enforced disappearances in Balochistan has increased and intensified. After the abduction of the political activists, now they are abducting women and children. On October 28, 2017, along with the Information Secretary of Baloch Human Rights Organization, 8 other students were also abducted
from Karachi. Their ages are in between 8 to 25 years. After this incident of enforced disappearance, on October 30, 4 women along with their children were abducted from Quetta. After 3 days, women were released while 2 youths of 16 and 17 years old who were abducted in the same raid are not released.
Baloch Human Rights Organization’s spokesperson said that the security forces are abducting Baloch youths and instead of presenting them in the court, they are detaining them illegally and immorally. Due to the silence of human rights organizations, tragic incident of abduction of children is taking place. In this week, another youth was also abducted from Gwadar.
BHRO’s spokesperson said that the state’s institutions are violating the law in Balochistan. The courts are sentencing Baloch prisoners death without a fair trial and allowing them to prove their innocence. Enforced disappeared people are being mentally and physically tortured in secret detention centers instead of presenting them in the court. There will be a protest demonstration in Quetta on November 15 and a rally on November 19 in Karachi against inhumane incidents. It is requested to all the human loving people to join us. He further said that violation of international laws from a member state of United Nation is saddening and United Nations should give due attention to these violations.
