Personnel of Frontier Corps, a paramilitary force, opened fire on people in Jattani Bazar village of Dasht, district Kech, on 08 May 2020. A disabled person, Akram Mohammd Bakhsh, was hit on the chest and died on the spot.
In another case, on 02 May, FC personnel had opened fire on a vehicle in the Mand area of district Kech, near Iran border, killing Sayad Mohammad. It was the third incident in a row where the FC opened fire on cars carrying civilians, often laborers. In a similar case, the FC had killed a teenage boy, Imam Sher, in the same area three days ago.
Meanwhile, a man named Nazir was shot dead by armed men of the Balochistan Liberation Front on 08 May in Awaran region of Balochistan. The BLF claimed that Nazir had once been one of their commanders who later surrendered before the Pakistan army. They also blamed Nazir for killing one of the organization’s senior members and providing information to the military.
The FC continued to conduct raids in different parts of Balochistan and abducted many, some even from the mosques.
Two students Nasir Pullan and Jahanzeb Rafiq were abducted from Apsar area of Turbat, district Kech on 10 May. Nasir was enrolled in Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan and Jahanzeb, in Lasbella University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Science.
The forces abducted Faqir Dilwash from Askani Bazar, Aapsar Turbat, district Kech, on 03 May and Yasir Pir Mohammed on 05 May from his house in Jemadi Panwan, district Gwadar.
The FC raided mosques in Balochabad, Mand, and abducted several people after they found wall chalking opposing CPEC in the village. They whisked away Javed Gwahram, Latif Haji Adam, Hasan Hamid, Majid Hussain and Javed Baloch . In a separate raid, the FC abducted Sadiq from another mosque.
